Exam Time

Ahhh, the familiar feeling of exam time.  While most people are celebrating the "holiday season"  I am celebrating "exam season."  Some of the fun traditions of Exam season include:  coming up with a creative sleep schedule that includes going to sleep at 4 a.m., then getting back up at 4:15 because there's too much caffeine in your system, then going back to bed again at 4:27 because you don't care if you can't sleep goddamnit you'd rather just lie in bed with the lights off then look at your civil procedure outline for another minute.

While other people are enjoying holiday treats like fruitcake and christmas cookies- maybe some eggnog, you are on a quest for the ultimate cup of coffee or anything else that will help you to stay focused.  Some samples from my quest:

Conversation with Matt, "Hey- what happened to that super-concentration tea that you had?"  "We're out- you drank it all."  "WHAT!!!?"

Guy at Tealuxe: "Have you had this before?  It's a South American tea that is a stimulant- it's similar to caffeine..."

Me cutting him off: "Yeah, that's what I was going for- give me a large to go."

While most people are hanging Christmas decorations, my room is presently decorated with a deep carpet of upside down notes and briefs on yellow legal paper, strewn about in loosely collated piles that you would need a codex to decipher the logic of their groupings. 

While most people are thinking of buying Christmas presents, I am thinking about possible bribes for my professor's as last ditch efforts, "Maybe that liberal nut would appreciate an anti-Bush bumper sticker or something...yeah, then he'll be sure to give me a good grade...oh wait...anonymous grading...shit.."

While most people are thinking of New Years resolutions, I am thinking of what I will do if I fail out of school, "Well, I could always join the Air Force, or start blowing glass up in Vermont and become a hippie..."

Back to work...

You are a hilarious without sleep and stressed about exams. I sort of think you should star in a new reality tv show. "Law School Exams". On Fox...of course.
